Vanilla Affair Extrait de Parfum is an evocative exploration of irresistible attraction, created by master perfumer Nathalie Lorson for D’ORSAY. Inspired by the clandestine romance of Alfred d’Orsay and Marguerite de Blessington, the fragrance transforms desire into an intense olfactory expression, built around the mysterious duality of vanilla. At 35% concentration, it reveals a rich and enveloping character where luminous sweetness meets darker, sensual facets.
The fragrance opens with Balkan tobacco, tonka bean, and cistus, creating a warm, aromatic introduction with a delicate honeyed quality. At the heart, a duo of vanillas reveals two contrasting personalities: one deep, warm, and almost leathery, the other creamy, luminous, and gourmand. White musk, patchouli, and amber form the base, leaving a sensual, ambery trail that lingers on the skin with captivating depth.
